PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a height adjustment device for a railway vehicle, which can reduce air consumption.SOLUTION: A height adjustment device 100 for a railway vehicle, which adjusts the height of a vehicle body 1 with respect to a carriage 2, includes an operation piston 20 (operation body) that is displaced depending on relative displacement of the vehicle body 1 with respect to the carriage 2, a valve rod 30 that is axially moved by displacement of the operation body to switch between the supply and discharge of compressed air to and from an air spring 3, and a damper 60 that imparts resistance to the axial movement of the valve rod 30.
