The purpose of the present invention is to provide a bogie (1) for a railway vehicle, the bogie (1) being configured so that axle boxes (64) do not drop from a bogie frame (5) when the bogie (1) is lifted and so that the ratio between wheel loads can be easily adjusted. The bogie (1) for a railway vehicle is provided with: side beams (10) for constituting the bogie frame (5); the axle boxes (64) for holding a wheel axle in a rotatable manner; and axle springs (70) disposed between the side beams (10) and the axle boxes (64). The axles springs (70) are each constituted from: an axle spring upper portion (72) having a circular cylindrical shape; an axle spring lower portion (76) having a hanging-bell shape; and vibration damping rubber (74) disposed between the axle spring upper portion (72) and the axle spring lower portion (76).
