The present invention relates to a radio frequency identification (RFID) enabled mirror (200), comprising a mirror (100) comprising a reflective layer (120). The reflective layer 9120) comprises at least one layer of a metallic material, a first portion of the reflective layer (120) is removed to form a first booster antenna (210) from a remaining portion of the reflective layer, a second portion of the reflective layer (120) is removed to form a second booster antenna (210) from the remaining portion of the reflective layer. A dielectric coating is applied to the mirror where the first portion of the reflective layer (120) and the second portion of the reflective layer were removed (120), and an RFID chip (230) is coupled to the first booster antenna (210) and the second booster antenna.
