The invention relates to a method for evaluating the probability of whether a vehicle travels along a possible driving path, comprising the following steps: a possible future driving path of the vehicle is used; the measured viewing angle of the driver is used; a visual point of the driver of the vehicle, which is calculated independently from the measured viewing angle, is determined for the possible future driving path; a calculated viewing angle based on the independently calculated visual point and the possible future driving path is determined; the number of collisions, that is, a number for the probability that the measured viewing angle is occupied, using the assumption that the driver intended to follow the possible future driving path, is determined, the determination of the collision takes into account the measured and the calculated viewing angle of the driver, in particular using the difference between the measured viewing angle and the calculated viewing angle.
