The method comprises the following steps: acquiring the vehicle speed, the target relative speed and the target relative distance in real time, calculating the time required for collision between the vehicle and a front vehicle according to the target relative distance and the target relative speed, setting a fuzzy rule in combination with the driving style of a driver, acquiring a safe distance according to the vehicle following time distance and the fuzzy rule, and inputting the safe distance into a vehicle kinematic model. And obtaining a threshold value of time required for collision between the vehicle and the front vehicle, and if the time required for collision between the vehicle and the front vehicle is smaller than the threshold value of the time required for collision between the vehicle and the front vehicle, triggering front collision early warning. And the safe distance is determined according to the driving style of the driver, so that the safety is ensured, and the driving comfort is improved. When the style of the driver is judged through the fuzzy algorithm, the input and the output are both values, the calculation efficiency is improved, and the safety of front collision early warning is further improved.
