The invention provides a method for detecting settlement of a train track section, which comprises the following steps of: determining a plurality of position gradient scatter points of a train according to vehicle-mounted log data; fitting the position gradient scatter points into a gradient curve of the train according to a plurality of gradient change points of the train; and comparing the gradient curves at different times, and determining the changed positions of the gradient curves as the settlement positions of the train track sections. According to the scheme, the gradient of the track section is continuously monitored through the multiple vehicle-mounted sensors of the signal system, the change of settlement of the section can be detected by comparing the change of the gradient, the previous fixed-time and fixed-point monitoring is avoided, and for the weak link of the previous monitoring, the monitoring accuracy is improved. And low-cost and high-value continuous monitoring can also be realized, and the method has positive significance for improving systematic safe operation.
