Relates to the technical field of vehicle control, a suspension system comprises a sprung component, a damper and an unsprung component which are sequentially connected, and the method comprises the steps that the actual vibration isolation rate of the suspension system is obtained according to the ratio of the absolute value of sprung acceleration to the absolute value of unsprung acceleration, the sprung acceleration is the acceleration of the sprung component, and the damper is the acceleration of the unsprung component; the unsprung acceleration is the acceleration of the unsprung component; and according to the difference value between the actual vibration isolation rate and the target vibration isolation rate, the damping coefficient of the damper is controlled.
