The invention discloses a vertical net placing mechanism of aircraft arresting equipment, and belongs to the technical field of machine manufacturing. The vertical net placing mechanism comprises a base, a vertical frame, a motor, a rope winding wheel, a steel rope, a shaft pin, a buffer supporting column, a roller support and a travel switch. According to the net erecting and placing mechanism, the automatic net erecting and placing function of aircraft arresting equipment can be achieved, and net bodies with the weight reaching half tons or above can be borne. A roller support is additionally arranged in the net erecting and placing mechanism, the pulling force direction of a steel cable is changed, and the problem that clamping stagnation is prone to occurring in the net erecting process is effectively solved. In the design process, a reasonable design method is summarized through theoretical calculation.
