The invention discloses a hybrid power vehicle control method and system and a hybrid power vehicle. Power shortage of a power battery of the hybrid power vehicle in a series drive mode is prevented. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring an output parameter of a power battery in response to an instruction for controlling the hybrid vehicle to enter a series drive mode; and the upper limit value of the whole vehicle driving torque is adjusted according to the output parameter, so that the output parameter is always within the allowable range.
