The present disclosure provides a system and method of controlling power flow between an electrically powered vehicle and a charging trailer. Systems and methods are provided for coordinating and controlling power flow during an in-travel bi-directional energy transfer event between an electrically powered vehicle, one or more charging trailers, and optionally one or more electrically powered recreational vehicles. The system and method may prioritize the energy transfer between each connected energy unit based on various parameters including, but not limited to, in-transit logistics, environmental information, time of day, and the like. Charge energy may be delivered to appropriate power sources to meet customer requirements with different priority levels according to an energy delivery priority control strategy derived from various inputs considered.
