The management device can be arranged on the electric vehicle and can also be arranged on the charging device. For example, the management device is provided with a dial for adjusting the upper limit power amount, and a user can operate the dial to adjust the upper limit power amount. For example, a user who travels 300 km a week for commuting sets an electric power amount corresponding to 300 km (plus a standby travel distance) to an upper limit electric power amount. The user connects the battery to the charging device at the end of the weekend. Even if the battery has the ability to store an amount of power equivalent to, for example, 500 km, the management device stops charging when the battery is charged with an amount of power equivalent to 300 km (plus a standby travel distance). By suppressing the upper limit power amount during charging, it is possible to suppress deterioration of a battery charged at high frequency.
