According to the vehicle intersection collision avoidance system and method based on the unmanned aerial vehicle, the traffic condition of an intersection can be monitored in the air in real time, vehicles in blind areas such as buildings, trees and the like at the intersection can be recognized, a driver is reminded to decelerate in time, the system conducts automatic emergency braking when necessary, collision accidents can be effectively avoided, and the active safety of the automobile is improved; and the unmanned aerial vehicle measures the angle between the vehicle and the corner point of the intersection, the airborne processor of the unmanned aerial vehicle is used for automatically filtering objects in the visible area of the vehicle, and only objects in the blind area of the vehicle are considered, so that the calculation amount of an algorithm can be greatly reduced, and the algorithm is faster.
