The invention provides a signal lamp fault detection device which performs data transmission based on a direct-current power line carrier communication modulation and demodulation system, and a processor receives voltage loaded at two ends of a signal lamp and current flowing through the signal lamp detected by a detection circuit, and determines the working state of the signal lamp according to the received current and voltage. According to the embodiment of the invention, the modulation and demodulation system based on direct-current power line carrier communication accurately transmits thecurrent and voltage information of the signal lamp, so that the processor can accurately judge the working state of the signal lamp according to the received voltage and current, the working state ofthe signal lamp is judged, and the travelling safety is guaranteed.
