The invention relates to a traction machine support for an elevator, and relates to the technical field of elevator traction machines. The problem that an assembly type traction machine support in theprior art is inconvenient to transport is solved. The traction machine support comprises two beam rods for supporting a traction machine, the two beam rods are oppositely arranged, the traction machine is installed at the adjacent ends of the two beam rods, a bearing plate comprises a supporting section, a middle section and a locking section, the traction machine is installed on the supporting section, one end of the middle section is hinged to one end of the supporting section, the other end of the middle section is hinged to the locking section, the locking section is provided with a locking assembly used for locking the locking section on the supporting section, and when the locking section is locked on the supporting section, the two beam rods form a frame chamber used for containingthe traction machine, and two sliding sleeves used for limiting rotation of the middle section and the locking section correspondingly are connected to the beam rods in a sliding mode in the length direction of the beam rods. The traction machine support has the effect of facilitating transportation and hoisting of the traction machine support to a certain extent.
