The invention relates to a device for preventing a ship from capsizing and belongs to the technical field of ship design. The device for preventing the ship from capsizing is characterized in that at least one air bag storage cabinet (2) higher than the gravity center position of a ship body is arranged on each of two sides of the ship body (1), an uninflated air bag (3) is stored in each air bag storage cabinet (2) and is flexibly connected with the ship body structure through a fixing device (6); an air bag cabinet door (5) is arranged outside each air bag storage cabinet (2), a submerged pressure sensor (4) is arranged on the air bag cabinet door (5), and the air bag cabinet door (5) has certain tightness when the air bag is in a storage state. When an accident occurs, the ship inclines towards one side and water submerges the air bags, and the submerged pressure sensors (4) sense the water pressure and trigger automatic release; the air bag cabinet doors (5) are automatically opened or separated, meanwhile, air inflation devices rapidly inflate the air bags, the air bags (3) are unfolded rapidly outside the ship body, and additional floating force is provided for the ship body.
