The invention discloses an automobile low and high beam control system and method. The control system comprises a left low beam lamp, a right low beam lamp, a left high beam lamp, a right high beam lamp, an MCU (Microprogrammed Control Unit), an input processing circuit connected to a switching operation signal input port of the MCU, a combination switch connected to the input processing circuit, a CAN (Controller Area Network) transceiver connected to a communication port of the MCU, a first drive circuit connected to two control signal output ports of the MCU, and a second drive circuit connected to another two control signal output ports of the MCU. The left low beam lamp is connected to one of drive signal output ports of the first drive circuit. The left high beam lamp is connected to the other drive signal output port of the first drive circuit. The right low beam lamp is connected to one of drive signal output ports of the second drive circuit. The right high beam lamp is connected to the other drive signal output port of the second drive circuit. The automobile low and high beam control system and method can reduce the probability of complete failure of low and high beam functions and improve the driving safety.
