The invention discloses a car outer airbag system for changing expansion speed according to different collision objects. The car outer airbag system comprises a collision sensing unit, a car speed acquisition unit, cameras, an object judgement unit, a processing unit, an explosion starting unit and an outer airbag, wherein the collision sensing unit is used for sensing the distance between the car and the obstacle; the car speed acquisition unit is connected with a car bus in a communication manner and used for acquisition the current car speed; the cameras are respectively above the front windshield of the car, on two sides of the car and above the rear windshield and used for acquiring the video images in the four directions of the car; the object judgement unit is used for judging the object to be collided according to the video images; the processing unit is used for receiving the collision object distance transmitted by the collision sensing unit and a car speed signal uploaded by the car speed acquisition unit, calculating the collision time and giving a starting signal when the collision time reaches a certain time threshold; the explosion starting unit is used for receiving the starting signal sent by the processing unit and inflating the outer airbag to open the outer airbag.
