The invention discloses a system for pre-starting a car outer airbag according to momentum of a current car. The system comprises an outer airbag device, a momentum pre-warning system and a prepositive radar, wherein the momentum pre-warning system comprises a processing unit and a running state acquisition unit which is connected with a car bus in a communication manner; the running state acquisition unit is used for acquiring the speed of the current car; the processing unit is used for calculating the momentum of the current car according to the running speed; if the momentum reaches a certain value and the prepositive radar obtains that the distance between the current car and the obstacle ahead is up to a certain distance, the processing unit controls the outer airbag to pre-start. Through the running speed of the car and the distance of the obstacle ahead, the outer airbag is pre-started before the car is collided, so that the outer airbag of the car can be started in time without influencing the aerodynamic property of the car and reducing the strength of the car.
