The invention discloses an ascending and descending mechanism for a dish delivering device. The ascending and descending mechanism comprises a load bearing body, a lifting part and at least a pull rope connected between the load bearing body and the lifting part. The lifting part is characterized in that an extensible hose is connected between the load bearing body and the lifting portion and comprises a hose body, big rings and small rings, the big rings and the small rings are distributed on the hose body at intervals, and hardness of the big rings or the small rings is larger than that of the hose body. Compared with the prior art, the lifting part has the advantages that the extensible hose is arranged between the load bearing body and the lifting portion, and the big rings and the small rings larger than the hose body in hardness are arranged on the extensible hose, so that the whole lifting process of the lifting portion is quite stable, and the lifting portion is effectively prevented from rotating. Even if the lifting portion rotates or swings due to accidental stress, the lifting portion can be quickly stopped by contracting the pull ropes by certain distance, so that spilling of soup is avoided, and the lifting part is high in safety.
