Provided is a technique by which a dump truck can be driven smoothly while maintaining reliability in wireless communication even in a mine having poor signal reception. A vehicle driving system configured such that a transport vehicle (20-1) being driven through a mine facility along a predetermined driving path (60) and an operation management server for managing the operation of the transport vehicle are communicably connected via a wireless communication line, wherein a permissible driving period (n+1) is set such that the difference between a communication timing at which permission request information is transmitted from the transport vehicle (20-1) to the operation management server at a tentative permission request point (RP), and a communication timing at which another transport vehicle transmits permission request information to the same wireless base station, is at or above a prescribed threshold value.
