Laying rail at Missouri Pacific employs 2 specially equipped trains for hauling rail; train is comprised of 33 flat cars provided with 3-tier roller supports; each tier will hold 12 rails, making total train capacity of 4.9 mi; welded rail is laid right through turnouts on straight-rail side; seats for tie plates are prepared by cribbers, adzers and creosote applicator; plates applied are driven by Nordberg drivers.
