New type of reflecting concrete curb designed by Road Research Laboratory and installed at three sites in Scotland and one in South of England; light from vehicle headlights is reflected back to driver by facets formed by edges of raised rectangular pads on sloping face of 45° curb; facets provide reflection for traffic in both directions; it is shown that it is possible for existing 45° plain curbs to be converted to new design by bonding small raised blocks to sloping face using impact adhesive.
