Study is part of investigation of transport fuselage design problems in high altitude aircraft; it is found that there is ozone barrier extending from about 50,000 ft to 150,000 ft above surface of earth; process of ozone formation and reasons for altitude, latitude, and seasonal variation, nature and seriousness of hazard, and possible methods of circumventing problem; further research needed on effect on human beings and on aircraft materials.
