Extensive repairs to Great Northern's 82-yr old stone arch railroad bridge at Minneapolis, Minn are described; pier 7 had settled 14 in. during spring floods Apr 1965; sandstone had scoured out from under about 60% of footing area to depths 4 to 6 in. below bottom of footing; bridge was stabilized by temporary measures and then permanent repairs were undertaken.
