Novel and large-scale installation for unloading, storing, and shipping potash salts, erected by Heckel Company, Saarbrucken; warehouses, resembling airship hangars in appearance, are each 860 ft. long, and surmounted transversely and longitudinally by galleries containing belt conveyors, from which ships are loaded, while other plant is provided for loading railway and road vehicles.
