Work involved construction of double-track roadbed approximately two miles long with 11 concrete and steel structures carrying new line over streets, 200-ft. fixed truss bridge, bascule lift span, 3500 ft. of new streets, 2500 ft. of retaining walls and layouts for passenger and freight stations.
