International Petroleum Co's 60 mi narrow gage railway, connects 14 producing areas in northwestern Peru; two main systems run from operating center at Negritos; several types of locomotive used, steam for heavy traffic and gasoline for light load work; asphalt runways bordering track make automobile travel possible; much of railroad business is concerned directly with drilling.
