Attempt made by normal statistical methods to formulate rough approximation for determining extinctive value of any hull, and fairly close approximation for any bilge keels on any normal ship at its service speed in load condition; criterior for assessment is also criterion for maximum roll in synchronous waves and has double importance; effect of splitting bilge keels into two discontinuous parts.
