Expo-Railway station of Swiss Federal Railways; suspended cantilever roof of original design, consists of 2 slightly concave skins measuring 34×70 m and 20×70 m; 3 pylons, each made of 4 concrete-filled, 30 m long, 22.9 cm diam boiler pipes, are anchored in concrete bases and carry system of guy ropes and roof-carrying cables; roof construction is steel rafters, wooden purlins, and corrugated Eternit skin; wind resistance and vibrations were tested on scale model.
