Various vessels have been constructed with bulbous bow, and power reductions of 2 to 6 per cent have been obtained; 26 vessels built to Maier form with power reductions of 10 to 15 per cent, speed varying from 10 to 20 knots; propeller cavitation; additional high-speed tank is being incorporated with Hamburg Tank.
