Machine, manufactured by British Insulated Cables, Preston, Lancashire, and supplied to London and North Eastern Railway works at Doncaster, consists of single phase static transformer having capacity for spot welding purposes of 30 kw, and arms or stakes are made 36 in. long to deal with certain specific requirements at Doncaster; suitable for welding iron and mild steel up to added thickness of 5/8 in.
