Periodic reverse current process, developed by Westinghouse Electric Corp, Pittsburgh, comprises cycle in which plating current is applied for from 2 to 40 sec to deposit microscopic increment of metal; current is then reversed for from 1/2 to 5 sec to remove portion of previously plated increment.
