Discussion of test results on two ship models under deck loads; one model was made of high tensile steel and other of mild steel, and both were structures between two transverse bulkheads of ship and similar to practical ship; formulas are given that can be used to obtain collapse load of beams or girders of structures; study of behavior in elastic range on these structures is also reported and effects of axial forces set up at large deflection are taken into account.
