Experimental investigation of stresses, with particular regard to relation of plate thickness to rivet diameter; test specimen and rivets were of ultralumin, annealable, artificially aging alumin-copper-nickel alloy; closing head is formed under increasing pressure; paper and discussion give suggestions as to proper design of joints.
