Attention is confined to case of meat-carrying vessel; investigation of influence which choice of propelling machinery has upon ship; from naval architect's point of view, comparison of particulars of two vessels to perform same service is greatly in favor of motorship; larger turbine vessel would have slightly better seagoing qualities; stability effect of her greater breadth would be to some extent offset by higher position of fuel. Indexed in Engineering Index 1929, p. 1679, from Engineer, Feb. 8, 1929. (See also - discussion p 310-319)
