Design of new trucks incorporates heavy chassis and unusual safety factors in rear end, propeller shaft, transmission and clutch; it would seem that rear-end parts of trucks, new or used, need be no stronger if propelled with relatively flat torque Diesel engine instead of gasoline engine.
