Building by Pusey and Jones Corp, Wilmington, Del; length oa 308 ft 2 in.; breadth oa 73 ft; main propulsion units are two Busch-Sulzer Diesel engines of 1000 hp each at 250 rpm, driving twin propellers, of solid, 4-blade, cast steel type; main dredging units consist of two centrifugal pumps with 22-in. suction pipes connecting through ship's hull to drag pipe elbows.
