The article outlines the new tasks of NATO and allies in the field of non-military preparations, including "civil preparedness", "civil readiness" and "resilience". The existing civil NATO structures, as well as the tasks and role of the member states are analysed. NATO system of civil expert is described and changes in national regulations are proposed to enable further use of NATO experts by Polish military and civil bodies.
