CAT-A performance is a typical feature of transport helicopter, meanwhile CAT-A performance flight test is the best way to verify its conformity. Based on the relative CAT-A performance airworthiness documents issued by CAAC, the background of CAT-A take-off performance is analyzed in this paper, the relative clause requirements and compliance method are researched, the flight test techniques concerning H-V envelope curve, CAT-A take-off flight path, CAT-A continued take-off, aborted take-off, and the determination of final take-off decision point are discussed. The CAT-A performance take-off decision point flight test risk management and control measures for clear runway are made. The CAT-A performance take-off decision point flight test method and flight test risk management and control measures specified in this paper has effectively instructed the CAAC certification flight test toward AC312E, AC313, laying a sound foundation for the above mentioned helicopters to acquire CAAC type certificates.
