This article is devoted to the problem of wastewaters treatment and wastewater sludge utilization. Attention is paid to the problem of high content of heavy metals in wastewater sludge and inability of its further use. An alternative method for reduction of heavy metals content in wastewaters and sludge is proposed. The experiments with EM treatment of wastewater sludge in order to control heavy metals among other harmful substances are presented in the article.
