The possibility of pure nickel(+2) oxalate NiC2O42H2O precipitation from spent nickel(+2) solutions (electroless plating, electroplating) and spent solution of anodic aluminium oxidation with oxalic acid is shown experimentally. 99,7% of nickel(+2) and 77% of oxalate are recovered. Some physicochemical and chemical properties of nickel oxalate dehydrate (solubility in aqueous solutions with variable concentrations of nitric, sulfuric, hydrochloric, oxalic acids, solubility in organic solvents, reactions with carboxylic, hydroxycarboxylic, aminocarboxylic, aminophosphonic acids, sodium hydroxide, aqua ammonia, amines, aminoalcohols and other nickel(+2) complexing reagents) are studied.
