To select the synchronization system parameters that provide the best efficiency, it is necessary to obtain temporal characteristics; for this purpose, the authors estimated the average search time for a pseudo-random sequence (PRS) through solving the problem of system analysis of the time characteristics of the majority processing of synchronization information. The article formulated and solved the problem of analyzing time characteristics for the synchronization method of the PRS based on the majority processing of the PRS segments, in which it was required to find the average search time for the PRS. Analytical relationships were obtained for the average search time of the memory bandwidth, calculations and systematic analysis of the results were performed. It is shown that an increase in the length of the processed segment (test segment) will inevitably lead to an increase in the time the system enters synchronization, due to the reception of additional PSP bits involved in the checks.
