Research aim - to evaluate the effect of virtual therapies on the balance and gait of children with cerebral palsy. The prevalence of cerebral palsy in developed and developing countries is typically around 2 to 3 per 1,000 births. The causes of the disease are congenital, genetic, inflammatory, infectious, anoxic, traumatic and metabolic. Cerebral palsy classification types: spastic CP, ataxic CP, dyskinetic CP and mixed CP. Cerebral palsy is also divided into topographic classification: diplegia, monoplegia, triplegia, hemiplegia, quadriplegia. Methods of treatment of the disease can be surgical, medical, physiotherapy, animal therapy and virtual therapy. Optimal treatment of children requires teamwork: physiotherapists, neurologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists. A review of the systematic literature has shown that virtual therapies are effective in improving the balance of children with cerebral palsy.
