The WiMi-Care project aims at implementing and testing suitable application scenarios for service robots in eldercare facilities. Scenarios selected for Care-O-bot 3 were supplying water to the inhabitants and playing interactive mind games using the robot's interactive tray. A second project demonstrator, the automated guided vehicle CASERO, was selected to support care workers with transportation tasks and during their night shifts. Two additional application scenarios allowing to support the personnel of residential care facilities were identified within the EffiRob project: a new medical trolley able to provide care utensils on request, protocol their use and reload them autonomously and an advanced lifter able to adjust its size and shape for different operations and user requirements and to support operators with semi-autonomous functions.
