Mechanics characteristics of subgrade-bridge transition section severely affect the running safety and ride comfort of the running trains in high-speed railways. This paper presents a framework to investigate the deformation of the track structures of the transition section, and also to determine the dynamic behaviors of the train-track-subgrade coupled system when high speed trains running through the subgrade-bridge transition. Primarily, aiming at the structures of the subgrade-bridge transition section in Chinese high-speed railway, a detailed vertical train-track-subgrade coupled model is established on the calculating platform of ANSYS based on the vehicle-track coupled dynamics theory. In the coupled model, the subgrade-bridge transition section is built by finite element method, while the vehicle equations and the wheel-rail interaction are programmed by APDL. Then, the static deformations of the system under different uneven subgrade settlement are calculated adopting the established model. Further, the dynamic responses of the vehicle system are investigated under different conditions, including different running directions, and the changes in settlement magnitude and the length of graded crushed stone on transition section. Under different uneven settlements on transition section with different lengths of graded crushed stone, rail will present corresponding curve deformations. When high speed train running through this section, dynamic behaviors of train system are analyzed. With the increase of settlement difference, the dynamic responses of train system will be increase. Extending the length of graded crushed stone from 15 m to 20 m can improve the dynamic performances of high speed train. However, the larger length than 20 m will not significantly decrease the dynamic responses of train.
