The subway passengers’ boarding and alighting time has an important impact on a train’s station dwell time. This time is not only dependent on the total number of boarding and alighting passengers, but also closely related to platform management, passenger distribution, passenger composition, and the train’s load factor. This paper established a passengers’ boarding and alighting cellular automaton model on an island platform, and used the model to simulate passengers’ boarding and alighting process in different conditions, and based on the calculate result, obtained the average boarding and alighting time’s main influencing factors and their influence trends. The conclusion can provide references to the metro operation department.
