Adapting from the idea of Chang, we propose an approach for rostering the train driver. It can offer the flexibility for irregular operation and the consideration for every personal factor. However, the RCO featured shift will fail the GA crossover operation. Therefore, we propose a repairing method to fix this trouble successfully. The result also shows that in planning stage our method can save the required manpower to at least 3 train drivers for a local train driver-dispatching unit.
