Based on the characteristics of the rural highway, this paper discusses some basic ideas in the decision making for traffic safety facilities after the analysis for the implementing effect and economic applicability of various traffic safety facilities on different dangerous road sections. Combined with the safety functions of different facilities in their forms and effect, the paper explains the rationality of the plan. According to the cost composition of the facilities, the present study investigates the cost prediction methods and the computing technique for economic benefits, and offers the basis for economic feasibility study on various traffic safety facilities.
