This paper uses principal component analysis and factor analysis model to evaluate regional transportation industry competitiveness of 31 administrative regions in China by considering various transportation modes and selecting indexes of transportation industry based on the panel data in 2010. The results show regional transportation industry competitiveness in developed eastern regions is obviously higher than that in underdeveloped central and western regions.
