The paper briefly introduces the basic principles of the double-curved arch dam geo-mechanical model's stability test and proposes a new solution in which the induction displacement measuring system is applied into the multi-point displacement measurement of the geo-mechanical model test. With the reasonable calibration and post data-processing, the induction displacement meter can be used in the non-linear area. The measuring range is extended and the size is reduced, so it's easier to be embedded in the model. The multi-point, high-precision data can be acquired by I/O control, and It's low-cost. The author expatiates the test process through various aspects: the choose of model materials, the making of the batholith and the dam, the similarity of model, load method, structure simulation and measuring points distribution etc. The paper also concerns the application method of the system in the geo-mechanical model test, the displacement curve of some measuring points, the data processing method and the synthetic errors analysis of the system.
